About Rainier Symphony

One of the finest community orchestras on the west coast, Rainier Symphony reaches over 5,000 people a year with a broad range of music from the classical and pops repertoire.

Our diverse membership includes teachers, physicians, engineers, business professionals, longshoremen and students who share a love of music and their community. Under the direction of Music Director David Wayne Waltman, the orchestra regularly performs with internationally recognized artists. This season, Rainier Symphony is especially pleased to welcome back Ilkka Talvi as concertmaster, who brings over three decades of experience as a world class violinist to the stage.

Thanks to our friends from the City of Tukwila Arts Commission, the Tukwila School District, the City of Kent, the Renton School District, SoCo Culture, and local businesses and patrons, we look forward to many more years of providing our community with great music close to home!
